Superman: Man of Tomorrow's Brainiac star Lars Eidinger broke his silence on unexpectedly landing the new role.
The German actor and rapper was left shocked and amazed over the casting for his role in James Gunn’s upcoming film.
Reported by Comingsoon.net, the Dying star, when asked if he was intimidated by the thought of facing Superman, he said, "No, but then I think of myself. For me, it’s a true miracle that it happened."
Describing the otherworldly experience of receiving the life-changing call from Hollywood, he said that it is every German actor and actress dream.
He further shared, "And I always thought, I’m 50 now, I thought okay, that’s it, and it suddenly happened. And it all went relatively quickly, didn’t it? And me? Yes, I really can hardly believe it, honestly."
Clouds of Sils Maria also admitted that the role is a massive undertaking of a huge responsibility.
Casting of Brainiac is also a historic moment as this will be the first time this villain will be brought to life on a big screen.
The villain is a super-genius android from the planet Colu. He is obsessed with collecting all knowledge in the universe and is known for shrinking cities and even destroying planets.
In the Man of Tomorrow, to tackle this unprecedented threat, Superman (David Corenswet) and Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) will form an uneasy alliance.
The production is set to begin in April with the film slated for release on July 9, 2027.
