Kayla Nicole gets candid about love after Travis Kelce heartbreak

Kayla Nicole has broken her silence on her split from Travis Kelce, and it seems timing was everything.

For those unfamiliar, the 34-year-old media personality dated the Travis for five years before they finally called it quits in 2022. 

Now, as he’s loved-up and engaged to global pop sensation Taylor Swift, Kayla has reflected on what really went wrong.

During a TikTok Live chat with Ace Greene, she admitted her last relationship ended “probably, like, three years ago now”, adding cryptically: “Right person, wrong time.”

It's worth noting that the pair’s romance was famously on-and-off after first sliding into each other’s DMs back in 2017. 

Kayla once revealed that the 36-year-old NFL star had been “insta-flirting” for months before they officially got together. 

But despite years together, it seems the spark couldn’t survive the pressure.

And finding love again hasn’t been easy. 

“Dating in 2026 is just hard all the way around,” she confessed. 

“I feel like the bar is in hell.” Her top requirement for a future beau? “Having a job.”

Meanwhile, Travis moved on with the pop superstar in 2023 after publicly attempting to woo her during her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium. 

The Opalite singer later joked on the New Heights podcast that his bold declaration felt like something straight out of an ’80s rom-com.

For the unversed, Travis and Taylor announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, through a joint Instagram post.

While the couple has not officially confirmed a wedding date, several reports and rumors have circulated that they will get married in 2026.
