Ray J’s manager gives insight on ‘bloody’ performance after going viral

Ray J’s latest performance has earned a remark from his manager, who gave more context into why he was still on stage despite his obviously deteriorating health.

The rapper went viral on social media for singing to a crowd of fans with a heart monitor and blood coming out of his eyes, which he concealed with black shades before taking them off.

In a statement to People, the 45-year-old’s manager Melinda Santiago explained why this was the case, after he had made other disturbing confessions about his health on social media.

"We all know that Ray J has been under the weather, but all my artists that work with me gotta do their job whether they are bleeding or not,” the One Wish artist’s manager stated.

Although Ray J or Melinda have not confirmed if the blood dripping from the Envy actor’s eyes was real or not, internet users and a local media outlet likely in Shreveport, Louisiana, who interviewed someone behind-the-scenes claimed that it was fake.

Meanwhile some concertgoers seemed concerned that the blood was real, since the Another Day in Paradise rapper had previously disclosed on social media that he only had months to live, as per his doctors and recent reports.

Notably, Ray J has long struggled with pneumonia and heart health issues, the latter of which is reportedly due to drug and alcohol issues.
