Manchester Orchestra announced the death of the band’s drummer Timothy Very at 42 through social media.

The band members took to Instagram to confirm the heartbreaking news on February 14th, revealing the one thing the musician preferred over creating music.

In the caption of the post, they wrote The entire Manchester Orchestra family has been devastated by the sudden passing of our brother, Timothy Very…We’ve all been dreading sharing this news as we are all still in absolute disbelief.”

Tim was described as an incredible individual that lit up people’s lives, with an infectious laugh, lively personality and the ability to encourage and inspire.

“The only thing that Tim loved more than creating music was being with his family. You’d be pressed to find a more joyful dad.We love you Tim, thank you for loving us. You are a force of positivity that will be a constant presence in the rest of our days,” they added.

In the image alongside the caption the late drummer could be seen standing victoriously, with his arms in the air in front of a crowd.

Notably, the band’s post called him the man that held the Manchester Orchestra universe together with his humour and energy and fans also flooded the comments to grieve the icon.
