Chris Bowen, who is the Minister for Climate Change and Energy in Australia is being highlighted by Taylor Swift fans for quoting one of her recent diss tracks.
The 53-year-old even took to his social media later to share a post dedicated to the moment on his social media, namely Instagram.
During the session, the Australian Labor Party stated, “I’m particularly grateful for the interest shown by The National Party in my portfolio, Mr. Speaker. To paraphrase my favourite Taylor, it's actually sweet all the time you spend on me. It's actually romantic, Mr Speaker.”
Meanwhile in his post he wrote “Happy Valentine's Day. Hoping you have someone as obsessed with you as the National party. The only thing I’m obsessed with is fixing their energy mess.”
Bowen also paired it to the soundtrack of the speculated Charli XCX diss track Actually Romantic off of The Life of a Showgirl.
Internet users took to X to re-share the reference, with fans writing things such as “See when you have impact.”
Another wrote “Not Taylor getting quoted in Parliament while haters still call her ‘irrelevant.’” With a laughing crying emoji adding “That’s actually sweet all the time they spend on her too,” with a shy faced emoji.
Yes, Charli opened for Taylor on her 2018 Reputation Tour.
