Tramell Tillman has generated buzz among Marvel fans with rumours swirling about his role in upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Widely recognised for his chilling performance as Seth Milchick in Apple TV+’s acclaimed series, Severance, is set to portray William Metzger, an obscure anti-mutant villain from X-Men comics.
According to Nexus Point News, Tillman has reportedly signed a multi-picture deal "which potentially includes Marvel Studios’ upcoming X-Men films."
Like in the comic books, the take on Metzger will be an anti-mutant crusader, who leads the Department of Damage Control (DODC).
If the rumours are true than Sadie Sink’s role in the film is expected to be Jean Grey as she the character has been under surveillance by DODC, with Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) stepping in to take her under his protection.
Previously, seemingly hinting at the role, Tillman in an interview with Variety was quizzed about his mysterious part in the film.
when asked "how the villain he plays in Spider-Man differs from his Severance character."
"Who says I'm playing a villain," Tillman responded, before adding that he can't "say much" about it, but he is "enjoying my time" filming Brand New Day.
Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon will reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spiderman, Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds respectively.
Meanwhile, Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas will also join the cast in undisclosed roles.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will release on July 31.
