Vincent D'Onofrio addressed the reason behind his absence from the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
D'Onofrio is recognised for his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Netflix series Daredevil (2015-20218), and reprising the role in Hawkeye (2021) and Echo (2024).
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares for busy year ahead with number of films set to release, including Brand New Day, the actor shut down the rumours regarding his role in it.
In a latest episode of Bingeworthy podcast, the Full Metal Jacket star said, "No. I think I’ll just wait until they have the rights to my character and they put me in one of those movies, and then I’ll figure it all out."
The Law & Order: Criminal Intent actor is set to return as Kingpin in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, which is slated for premiere on March 24 on Disney+.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland's film director Destin Daniel Cretton, last year in December, confirmed that the filming has wrapped up, calling the experience, "Most rewarding."
Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon will reprise their roles as Peter Parker/Spiderman, Michelle "MJ" Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds respectively.
Meanwhile, Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas will also join the cast in undisclosed roles.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will release on July 31.
