Sam Raimi lived up to his word with Rachel McAdams, following her small role in MCU's Doctor Stranger.

The Mean Girls actress starred in Raimi's film as Christine Palmer, former love interest of Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and had her character largely side-lined leading to conversation about wasted potential.

In an interview with the Total Film, filmmaker while promoting his new film Send Help, starring Dylan O’Brien and McAdams, he revealed that since the Canadian actress was "underutilized" in the MCU project, he "promised" himself to work with her again.

Raving about The Notebook star the director called her a "perfect person" and a "brilliant actress."

He highlighted how Send Help producer Zainab Azizi pointed out that the About Time star hadn't previously played such menacing villainous role, making her casting a deliberate choice to surprise and unsettle the audience.

The film follows an undervalued employee (McAdams) and her toxic boss boss (O’Brien), whose exploitative power dynamic is reversed once they crash land on a stranded island.

In addition to the lead cast, Dennis Haysbert, Edyll Ismail, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang and Thaneth Warakulnukroh also star in the film.

Send Help is now running in theatres.
