Kelly Clarkson is hanging up her daytime TV hat, announcing that the current season of The Kelly Clarkson Show will be its last.
The 43-year-old Grammy winner is ready to slow down and savour life with her two children, River, 11, and Remington “Remy,” 9, after seven years of early mornings, endless interviews, and relentless taping.
Despite leaving daytime TV, Kelly isn’t disappearing completely.
The source hints she’s open to popping up on special projects and continuing her music career but without the punishing daily schedule.
A source tells PEOPLE, “Kelly’s thrilled to move at a different pace.
She wants the flexibility to be present for her kids while still enjoying the creative projects she loves. This next chapter is all about balance.”
Clarkson shared a heartfelt Instagram post, reflecting on her time on the show.
“I’ve been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding team… all the fans who have supported our show, and NBC for always being such an incredible partner,” she wrote.
She added that stepping away from the daily grind “feels necessary and right” for her family.
The singer has had her share of personal challenges in recent years.
Pop superstar filed for divorce from Brandon Blackstock in 2020, eventually winning primary custody of their children.
Tragically, Blackstock passed away from cancer in August 2025.
