Charlie Puth’s cryptic tweet has been perceived as him speaking in support of Taylor Swift after her conversations with Blake Lively in the It Ends With Us case became public.
The conversations shocked the internet, since the 14-time Grammy winner said she’d do anything for the Gossip Girl alum and supported her changes in the Colleen Hoover adaptation allegedly without fully being aware of their extent.
In another one of the messages the Happiness singer wrote to the Green Lantern actress, “I think this bitch knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin,” in 2024.
The Light Switch singer wrote in a tweet on January 23, “Friends stick up for friends!” with a shrug emoji, which netizens have speculated is about Taylor.
One internet user wrote under the post, “You should be a bigger artist FOR REAL,” quoting one of the Fortnight singer’s lyrics.
“It’s rare these days, but it’s the standard,” another netizen added, while others challenged the statement.
“I would like friends to help me organize a birthday party or a beach day, or maybe help me navigate an emotionally challenging time.........but not help me throw someone under the bus, smear their reputation and ruin their career. I guess we're different,” a third commented.
A fourth internet user wrote, “Maybe it’s just me, but if someone asks me to help tear down another person, I would be questioning that friendship.”
Justin is facing sexual harassment and retaliation claims from Blake, who has been accused of creatively hijacking It Ends With Us by the former.
