Noah Kahan has officially sent fans into meltdown after confirming the release date of his long-awaited new single, The Great Divide.

The 29-year-old American singer-songwriter took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 20, to finally break his musical silence, announcing that the track will drop on January 30 via Mercury Records.

Almost instantly, the announcement sparked a frenzy among his devoted fanbase, many of whom have been eagerly waiting for new material since his chart-dominating era.

Sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the studio, Call Your Mom hitmaker offered fans a rare glimpse into the making of the song.

The clip included a heartfelt message reading, “anything great is worth the wait,” a nod to the long gap since his last release.

Alongside the post, Noah wrote: “Finally, my new single ‘The Great Divide’ comes out on January 30th.”

Fans were quick to flood the comments with excitement and humour.

“I’ll invoice you my therapy bill,” joked one follower, while another added, “The noah kahan pandemic is back.”

A third admitted, “THIS IS MY SUPER BOWL.”

The Great Divide is no stranger to die-hard fans, having previously been performed live during Noah’s 2024 We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour and again at a special one-night-only benefit concert at MGM Music Hall in November 2025.

The release follows his hugely successful 2022 album Stick Season, which featured the 4x Platinum title track.
