Jennifer Lawrence shares rare insight into her private life

Jennifer Lawrence has once again reminded fans why she’s Hollywood’s most refreshingly unfiltered star.

The 35-year-old Oscar winner revealed that friends and family don’t exactly call her “Jennifer” behind closed doors.

The Hunger Games actress lifted the lid on the very cheeky nicknames her inner circle uses for her.

While chatting to Amy Poehler on the Good Hang podcast, the Red Sparrow icon laughed as she reeled them off, joking: “B**bs Lawrence. The full government name.”

While she kept quiet on the origins of Floffin and the NSFW nickname, she did explain that “Nitro” was coined by her brothers during childhood.

“I was really hyper,” she admitted. “So they called me Nitro.”

Notably, but that’s not the end of the roasting as Jennifer also confessed her friends have another nickname that’s a little less flattering.

Apparently, she’s “Ken” from Barbie.

“They call me Ken because ‘I’m just Ken,’” she said. 

“I think it’s their way of calling me stupid. Whenever I ask something stupid, they’re like, ‘She’s just Ken.’”

No Hard Feelings actress has previously reflected on how her goofy, oversharing interview persona was partly a defence mechanism and one she admits may have rubbed people the wrong way. 

Speaking to The New Yorker, she said she understands why the public grew tired of her image, adding that Ariana Grande’s infamous SNL impression was “spot-on”.
