Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about a role in one of Quentin Tarantino’s biggest films that she believes she missed out on due to her looks.
The Die My Love actress talked about the filmmaker’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and how she could have been in the 2019 movie.
During an appearance on an episode of Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast, the 35-year-old revealed that the renowned director wanted to cast her but was persuaded not to.
“Well, he did [want to cast me], and then everybody was like, ‘She’s not pretty enough to play Sharon Tate,’ and then they didn’t,” Jennifer stated.
Josh then told her that that was not true, to which The Hunger Games actress replied, “I’m pretty sure it is true. Or it’s that thing where I’ve been telling the story this way for so long that I believe it.”
Jennifer added that she is pretty sure that this was what happened, or he never wanted to cast her and the internet just wanted to paint her as ugly.
It seems that the Academy Award winner was being eyed by Quentin to play the role that eventually went to Margot Robbie, of Sharon Tate.
Notably. the real-life model’s sister, Debra Tate had publicly said in 2017 that Jennifer isn’t pretty enough to play Sharon and that her pick would be the Barbie actress.
