Jennifer Lawrence, one of Hollywood’s most recognised stars, revealed a surprising personal take on motherhood during a recent appearance on the SmartLess podcast, saying she “identifies as a stay-at-home mom” even as she balances work on screen and off.

The Hunger Games and Die My Love actress, who shares two young sons with husband Cooke Maroney, told hosts Jason Bateman and Will Arnett that her typical year includes only a few months of filming, followed by long stretches at home with her family.

“That’s me. I identify as a stay-at-home mom,” she explained, adding that she still works on movies but relishes quieter periods away from press tours and late-night commitments.

According to Daily Mail, Lawrence said she isn’t accustomed to constant activity and finds comfort in routines centered around her home life, noting humorous boundaries like declining evening interviews after 9 p.m. and preferring early nights with her Kindle in hand.

Moreover, she even passed on a holiday party because it started too late for her parenting schedule.

The revelation came as Lawrence continues to promote her latest projects and juggle her roles as actress and parent.

Known for her candid interviews, she offered fans a relatable glimpse into how she frames her identity beyond the spotlight, emphasizing family life as a grounding force amid her Hollywood success.
