Neo-Western TV show Landman has become the talk of town after it dropped its finale of season 2 on January 18, 2026.

After the new season premiered in November, fans are asking for a new instalment as season 2 was applauded for its thrilling story.

Although the official announcement by Paramount+ is due, Bill Bob Thornton gave hope to his viewers during an interview.

While speaking with Extra TV in November, the lead of the show hinted at the renewal of the TV series for another season.

He sent fans into a frenzy after gushing: “I’m excited to see what unfolds in season 3.” The actor confirmed that the cast members are “looking forward [to] April and May” to start shooting.

In a separate interview, the Hollywood star unveiled a crucial detail about his contract to Landman for “four or five years,” giving hints about the new instalment in the near future.

The story, based on the Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown, sheds light on the oilfields of West Texas where manager Tommy Norris, played by Billy, faces major setbacks.

What is the job of Tommy in Landman?

In the first official trailer, Tommy highlights his role as a land manager where “oil and gas industry makes 3 billion dollars a day in pure profit.”

Its first instalment premiered on November 17, 2024, instantly becoming a hit show.
