Paul Mescal, following the success of Hamnet, has set his eyes on the next venture: the portrayal of legendry British icon, Paul McCartney.
The Normal People actor will star alongside Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), Joseph Quinn (George Harrison), Harris Dickson (John Lennon) and Saoirse Ronan as his wife (Linda McCartney).
In an interview with the People magazine, the Gladiators star shared his experience on what it is like to walk in the Grammy winner's shoes.
Mescal said that whenever he has met McCartney, the musician has received him with "great kindness and warmth."
The Oscar nominated artist added that feeling of portraying the Here Comes the Sun crooner is similar to what he experienced while playing Shakespeare in Hamnet.
The Irish actor continued, "It's like a wild privilege to get to play these creative forces and to get a peek behind the curtain."
In addition to Ronan starring as McCartney’s wife, Anna Sawai is set to play Yoko Ono, an artist and musician who married Lennon.
Aimee Lou Wood will portray Pattie Boyd as Harrison’s wife and Mia McKenna, Bruce will be appearing as Maureen Cox, Starr’s wife.
The upcoming four-part Beatles biopic series is being directed by Sam Mendes and will be known as, The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.
The film is set to release somewhere in April 2028, with each part focusing on a different band member’s perspective.
