Gracie Abrams, who known for her indie and folk pop music, is set to make a huge career shift.
The That's So True crooner is soon to grace silver screen in her acting debut from Babygirl director Halina Reijn.
The plot details of upcoming film titled Please, are being kept under wraps, however, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it is a period female drama which will feature edgy romance that director has tackled in previous films.
Reijin is also writing the script for the project, meanwhile, David Hinojosa, who helmed Materialists, will produce the film.
The news came a week after the outlet interviewed I Love You, I’m Sorry hitmaker at Chanel event where she talked about her acting aspirations and teased that something might be in works.
"I love a group project. The concept of being on a set is as thrilling as being on tour where everyone who’s there is there for a reason," said Abrams.
The Grammy nominee likely knows a thing or two about acting, as she is daughter of award-winning director J.J Abrams and is in relationship with Oscar nominee Paul Mescal.
In addition to her new venture, Abrams is also gearing up to release new music in 2026.
She teased about her upcoming record at the event saying, "It's definitely my favourite music I’ve ever made, and I feel very closely connected to it."
Notably, release date of both, new album and upcoming film, is yet to be announced.
