Gracie Abrams has hinted she could follow her famous father into the world of acting but for now, music remains her top priority.

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter, who is the daughter of Star Wars and Star Trek director J.J. Abrams, admitted she’s tempted by the idea of taking on an acting role one day.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Gracie said the buzz of being on a film set feels just as exciting as life on tour.

“I love a group project,” she explained.

“The concept of being on a set is as thrilling as being on tour where everyone who’s there is there for a reason. These creative environments are so inspiring. So yeah, who knows?”

Despite the curiosity, she is keeping the spotlight firmly on her music, and she’s refusing to spill any secrets about her next release just yet.

The Close to You singer revealed she’s feeling especially proud of her upcoming work, calling it the most personal music she’s ever made.

“It’s definitely my favourite music I’ve ever made,” she said.

“It feels very like me. I hope people connect with it and make it theirs – but not yet.”

Meanwhile, the songstress has also opened up about body confidence, revealing she feels her best when she’s physically strong.

The star told Cosmopolitan that exercise plays a huge role in her mental health, though she’s careful not to let it become obsessive.

After touring with Taylor Swift in 2024, Gracie hit back at constant scrutiny over women’s bodies, insisting there’s no secret routine behind her figure, just hard work, balance and self-respect.
