Brian Austin Green has opened up about a long-hidden romance that left him feeling far more vulnerable than fans ever knew.
The 52-year-old actor, widely recognised for the Beverly Hills, 90210, made a surprising confession on Deon Cole’s Funny Knowing You podcast.
Brian revealed that he once dated Martin actress Tichina Arnold in their 20s but their relationship was kept completely secret at her request.
According to him, Tichina was clear from the start that no one could know they were seeing each other.
While the pair bonded over their shared love of hip-hop music and spent time working together at his home studio.
Desperate Housewives star admitted that the secrecy slowly took its toll.
He said hiding the romance made him feel insecure and question his own worth, as if he was “not good enough” to be acknowledged publicly.
Things became even more confusing when the 56-year-old actress later changed her mind and was open to telling people about them.
By then, he said, the damage was already done.
In his mind, the relationship no longer felt real or healthy, and the emotional switch had already flipped.
Despite the heartbreak, Don't Blink actor made it clear there is no bad blood.
He described the Happily Divorced actress as “my girl” and said they have always supported each other, stressing he was not speaking badly about her.
Tichina previously shared her own side of the story, explaining she ended things because she believed Brian would ultimately settle down with a white woman.
She said she trusted her instincts and walked away peacefully.
Unwed Father actor went on to have a high-profile romance with actress Vanessa Marcil, before later tying the knot with Megan Fox in 2004.
The marriage lasted more than a decade before the couple divorced in 2020.
Since then, he has found happiness again with his current partner, dancer Sharna Burgess.
Tichina’s personal life has also seen its own chapters.
She was first married to Lamon Brewster from 1991 to 1995, and later wed DaRico Hines in 2012.
That marriage came to an end in 2016, as she continued to focus on her career and personal growth.
