The Night Manager’s new season was a shocker for fans as they had to wait for a decade after last part premiered in 2016.
Tom Hiddleston revived his role of Jonathan Pine, a military officer and hotel night manager, sending fans into a frenzy.
Although it was expected that the instalment would not be worth the wait, the viewers of the show gave a rave review to the show.
An admirer was of the opinion that the star cast delivered an “outstanding performance” and kept them“ hooked” to the screen.
One of the X users finally got to watch the series after “putting off for later” and was not disappointed. They wrote: “I’m catching up and loving it like crazy!” while a third user admitted it is “just as suspenseful as Season 1.”
However, Variety recently shared an article on why the renewed part is not worth it after fans had to wait for a decade.
Alison Herman from the outlet believes that the story brought an “odd hybrid” of characters.
Moreover, the opening credits are thought to resemble that of James Bond. However, it “no longer align[s] with Jonathan’s … mental state.”
It is to be noted that the final episode ended with a cliff-hanger and is announced to be renewing for another season.
The story is based on a novel with the same name, written by John le Carre which was published in 1993.
