Tom Hiddleston returns to ‘The Night Manager’ after a decade: Details inside

Tom Hiddleston, the suave star who became the ultimate spy sensation as Jonathan Pine, is finally returning to our screens after nearly a decade away. 

Fans of the award-winning thriller can celebrate, as Season 2 of The Night Manager premieres on Prime Video this Sunday, Jan. 11, with the first three episodes dropping at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.

Eight years have passed since Pine’s last high-stakes mission, and he’s now living quietly under the alias Alex Goodwin, running a low-profile surveillance unit in London. 

But tranquility never lasts for a man like Pine. 

A chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary drags him back into danger, introducing a deadly new player: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos. 

The synopsis promises a “perilous new journey” as Pine races to uncover a conspiracy that could destabilise an entire nation.

For those needing a refresher, Season 1 was adapted from John le Carré’s 1993 bestseller, followed ex-soldier Pine infiltrating the inner circle of ruthless arms dealer Richard Roper, played with icy menace by Hugh Laurie. 

From luxury hotels in Cairo to dangerous arms deals, Pine’s courage and cunning kept viewers hooked, especially in his brief, tension-filled romance with Jed, played by Elizabeth Debicki.

Now, nearly ten years later, fans are buzzing to see Hiddleston back in action.

Season 2 promises all the intrigue, espionage, and suspense we loved plus Pine’s trademark charm.
