Meghan Trainor denies involvement in Ashley Tisdale’s ‘toxic mom group’ drama

Meghan Trainor has publicly pushed back against swirling internet speculation tying her to a so-called “toxic mom group” drama sparked by actress Ashley Tisdale French’s recent viral essay. 

In the piece for The Cut, Tisdale wrote about stepping away from a circle of fellow mothers that left her feeling excluded and emotionally drained, a dynamic she likened to high school “mean-girl behavior.”

Although Tisdale did not name individuals, observers quickly jumped to social media to speculate that Trainor, Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore were among the group referenced, based on past photos and celebrity outings.

Trainor responded on TikTok on January 12, using a humorous lip-sync clip to insist she had nothing to do with the alleged drama. 

Across the video, she wrote, “Me still trying to convince everyone I’m not involved in the mom group drama,” and captioned it, “I swear I’m innocent.”

Moreover, her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, also weighed in, downplaying any feud and saying the couple is simply concentrating on raising their two young sons.

Sabara told TMZ there’s “no drama over here” and that they hope Tisdale is doing well amid the media attention.

According to Daily Mail, Tisdale’s essay struck a chord with many parents online, encouraging readers to prioritise their emotional well-being and step away from friendships that feel unhealthy. 

Despite ongoing rumors about who was involved, representatives for Tisdale have clarified that her piece wasn’t intended to single out specific celebrity moms.

The episode has ignited broader discussion about friendship dynamics and support networks among celebrity parents, with reactions ranging from sympathy for Tisdale to humor and denial from those linked indirectly to the story.
