Rhea Seehorn got nominated for a Golden Globe for the first time and subsequently crushed the competition as she took home the award for her performance in Pluribus.
The Better Call Saul star won in the Best Actress in a Television Series category and remained clearly taken aback after her name was announced.
At the beginning of her acceptance speech, the 53-year-old gushed over the presenter, Queen Latifah and praised her for being nice to her around two decades ago.
Rhea, who was shaking as she held onto the paper with her speech then revealed, “My speech says, ‘Get a prescription for beta blockers,’ but I did not. Sorry! I’m going to do my best. I’m sorry, I am just a little shocked!”
The Things Heard and Seen actress honoured her fellow nominees, and thanked the creator of Pluribus, Vince Gilligan throughout, before also mentioning all the women at the ceremony.
“Actually, to all the women in this room: I’ve been a lot of these parties that get pretty scary for someone like me sometimes, and the women in this room have been incredible in the last couple of weeks. Thank you for that,” she added.
Notably, Rhea also gave a sweet shout out to her partner, Graham Larson towards the end of her speech after her massive win.
Yes, Bob and Rhea are close friends and have spoken about the fact they remain in touch.
