Adriana Diaz and Kelly O’Grady, who were revealed as the new co-hosts of CBS Saturday Morning, chatted about their backgrounds.
The 42-year-old asked Kelly about her family to which she revealed being the only child, married to Caleb and her parents as support system.
On the other hand, Adriana comes from a Dominican family, brought up in New York City with six other siblings. She is married with two children.
The 34-year-old correspondent pointed out an unusual similarity between the two which Adriana felt is “kind of funny.”
Both colleagues have been in pageants and competed in Miss USA where Kelly has been Miss Mass USA in 2019 at the “ripe old bold age of 28.”
She detailed her journey from being a Harvard student, working in corporate to CBS.
The anchor admitted “something was missing” despite all the hustle. Her pageant competition helped in the transition.
The Channel One News alum was “Miss New York 2006” apart from her fluency in Mandarin. The host has been associated with CBS for 14 years.
This came after Michelle Miller and Dana Jacobson bid farewell to the show few weeks ago but no replacements were revealed initially.
The former hosts were ousted from the programme as a result of “brutal layoffs last month.”
