MrBeast, whose real name is James Stephen Donaldson, gathered multiple stars from the entertainment industry for $1,000, 000 on January 7.

Although the 27-year-old had Josh Peck, 5 Seconds of Summer, Paris Hilton, Tiffany Haddish and others, fans did not approve his idea.

Many were of the opinion that the list of contestants shared do not “qualify” to be called celebrity as it had singers, YouTubers, actors from around the world.

One of the X users was of the opinion that MrBeast is “loosely using the word ‘celebrities’ here,” while a third netizen admitted knowing “just 1 of em.”

However, fans flooded the comment section of the streaming platform’s video as they gushed about Eugenio Derbez for being included in the show.

A fan revealed that they “only clicked on the video because of Eugenio Derbez” as he is not only “just representing Mexico but every Hispanic out there.”

It is to be noted that the voice of KPop Demon Hunters, Audrey Nuna, was also amongst the star-studded participants.

The competition turned intense towards the end as Steve-O and Audrey were the finalists. After Steve won the cash prize, he decided to donate money to Doctors Without Borders.
