Claire Foy is candidly opening up about the struggles of balancing motherhood with work, as she navigates life with her 11-year-old daughter.
The mother-of-one shares her daughter Ivy Rose Moore with ex-husband Stephen Campbell Moore and cared for the newborn while filming for her most popular role yet, of Queen Elizabeth in The Crown.
In the cover story of Harper's Bazaar UK's February issue, the Unsane actress stated, “I mean…having a job and being a parent is a logistical s*** show – that's the truth of it.
“When it comes to making films and TV shows, the hours aren't conducive to having a family – so there's a lot of juggling and a lot of hoping for the best,” Claire added.
The All of Us Strangers actress also spoke about older women in the industry, and how they were treated.
Claire revealed that the acting industry does not know where to place women like herself, who are in their 40’s, referring to the kind of roles they should be assigned.
The Golden Globe winner noted that actresses are placed in a box of motherhood or being a grandmother, which is why she tries her best to break out of stereotypical roles that place her in that box and play characters that she likes.
Claire is in a relationship with the English singer Charlie Cunningham.
