Cynthia Erivo has admitted she’s heading into 2026 without a wish list, and it’s not because she’s lacking ambition.
The 38-year-old London-born star, who has enjoyed a phenomenal year thanks to her role in Wicked: For Good and the runaway success of her memoir Simply More, says she hasn’t “even dared” to write down her goals for the year ahead.
After a whirlwind of career highs, Cynthia says she’s choosing to let the universe lead the way.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress confessed her recent success has left her stunned.
“My mind has been blown several times,” she said, admitting she’s reached a point where she’s almost afraid to plan too far ahead.
“I’m sort of like, ‘What have you got?’”
However, there is one indulgent plan she’s already locked in Paris Fashion Week.
For the first time in years, she has carved out a full week to soak up the glamour.
“I’ve always had to rush in and out,” she explained.
“This year I asked for the full week off. That is what I want to do, so that’s what I’m going to do.”
The Outsider actress has also opened up about the powerful bond she shares with Wicked co-star Ariana Grande.
In her book, she revealed the pair made a pact to protect and support each other throughout filming, determined to avoid the ego clashes that often plague big productions.
The result, she says, was a rare and genuine friendship.
“We shared a strong synergy,” Cynthia added.
