Jennifer Lawrence reacts hilariously to Cynthia Erivo’s mind-blowing talent

Cynthia Erivo casually revealed she has synesthesia, a rare condition where she literally sees colours when she hears music at a recent THR Actress Roundtable.

The Wicked star, sitting alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Amanda Seyfried, and Laura Dern, explained the mind-bending phenomenon.

"I have synesthesia, so I see colour with music," she told the table.

Cue Jennifer, ever the cheeky co-star, who immediately launched into a note: "What colour is this? AAAh!" she sang dramatically.

Erivo paused before replying, cool as ever, “Blue.” The table erupted in laughter.

Harriet actress went on to describe the unusual sensation, calling it "very odd" and insisting it’s more than just a mental quirk.

"When you hear a symphony orchestra together, they make a particular song and it hits me in the back of the head. It’s very strange," she added.

The condition, affecting just one to four per cent of the population, has previously been spoken about by other big names, including Billie Eilish, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, and Kanye West.

Despite the sensory overload, she clarified that her synesthesia doesn’t guide her singing, it’s “just an experience” for her.

Jennifer, clearly fascinated, leaned in with more questions, clearly torn between curiosity and disbelief.
