Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s unexpected romance is showing no signs of cooling down and insiders say the loved-up pair are ready to welcome 2026 side by side.

According to sources close to the couple, the 41-year-old pop superstar and the 54-year-old  former Canadian prime minister will be spending New Year’s together as their bond continues to deepen. 

Friends say the pair are “very smitten” and enjoying each other’s company away from the spotlight.

Notably, they are choosing privacy over publicity as their relationship quietly gathers momentum.

Those in Katy’s inner circle reveal she’s feeling inspired by Justin, admiring both his intellect and his achievements. 

“She’s genuinely impressed by him,” one insider shared. 

“They balance each other well, and he’s a great match for her.”

For those unfamiliar, the pair were first linked in July when the Roar singer toured Canada, before going public months later with hand-holding sightings in Paris during her birthday celebrations. 

Despite global attention, the songstress is said to be happier than she’s been in years and keen to keep things low-key.

The romance marks Katy’s first public relationship since her split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom earlier this year. 

The former couple remain committed to co-parenting their daughter Daisy Dove, five, while maintaining a respectful friendship.

Justin, who separated from wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in 2023 after 18 years of marriage, appears equally content in this new chapter. 

The duo recently made their first official appearance together in Japan, meeting former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
