Kim Kardashian’s gift to her children this year was fluffy and adorable Pomeranians, but the gift has rubbed people the wrong way.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum welcomed four new fur babies into the family, expanding the collection if animals the Kar-Jenners already own.
In an interview with People, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organisation President Ingrid Newkirk has denounced the purchase and talked about what the Skims founder can do to even things out.
"Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that," the President remarked.
"[They can] try to make some amends now by sending their kids to volunteer at a local shelter or paying for a local shelter adopt-a-thon or at least one spay day to help stop the growing homeless puppy crisis," Ingrid added.
The PETA founder added that the next time Kim or any of the other Kardashians, such as Khloe who also got a dog, need animals, they should contact local shelters or reach out to the nonprofit organisation.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who share children North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six got divorced in 2022.
