The Kid Laroi cleared the rumours in a candid confession about Charlie Puth helping him write STAY.
It was a collaboration of Justin Bieber and Laroi that went viral soon after its release in 2021, topping Billboard charts.
After the NIGHTS LIKE THIS crooner sparked a debate with new video, an old interview of Puth resurfaced.
In 2022, the Attention hitmaker appeared on a Sirius XM interview, revealing how he played an important part writing the song.
Recalling the time he allegedly created the hit track with Laroi, “Blake… Omar and Roi,” he talked about the piano “that this computer sits on.”
The musician claimed he was “playing some very ballady… throwback-y type of chords.”
Explaining the process, the We Don’t Talk Anymore hitmaker described splitting the notes which was followed by the “lyrical genius” Laroi singing them.
He furthered mimicked the tune along with him singing, “I’ll do the same thing I told you that I never would. Told you I changed.”
Recently, the GIRLS songmaker confessed never having anyone else provide a helping hand expect the two writing "every single lyric" themselves."
It is to be noted that the Baby singer is yet to address the reignited controversy between the musicians.
