Chris Evans is confirmed to return as Captain America in the next Avengers movie.
The actor is seen in the newly released teaser trailer of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday which was released on December 23.
The teaser featured Chris’ character Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, with a baby.
The video was previously played before screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, but has not been made available online.
The text “Steve Rogers will return for Avengers: Doomsday,” can be read in the teaser before a countdown begins.
The countdown is set for the movie’s release in December 2026.
As per Variety, this teaser is part of a series of clips that are set to be released in the coming days centered on multiple characters.
Chris first starred as the superhero in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and his last appearance was on 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
In the last movie, Chris was seen passing down his shield to Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated to release in theatres on December 18, 2026.
