Idris Elba sparks James Bond rumours
The actor is being tipped to play the British super spy
British actor Idris Elba has fueled the fire of rumours circulating that he is the new James Bond.
The next 007 movie is confirmed to feature a new actor as the next British spy after Daniel Craig stepped down in 2021.
The James Bond movies are known for being sharp, witty with thrilling themes centered around the British spy.
Idris has been one of the names alongside other British actors who are being considered as top contenders of the role.
He further fueled the rumours by posing with wax figures of previous 007 agents including Pierce Brosnan, Daniel Craig, Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.
The Luther actor shared the clip on TikTok with the caption “Wifey made me do it…”
The video was shared on december 19 and has raked 6.9 million views so far.
The 53-year-old’s wife spoke about the rumours on Good Morning America saying “I have re-fueled the fire, haven’t I?”
“I just thought it would be funny. But look how good he looks in that lineup!” Sabrina added.
Previously it was confirmed that Dune creator Denis Villeneuve will be directing the upcoming Bond movie who is looking for a “fresh face”.
