Amanda Seyfried reveals plans for ‘Mamma Mia 3’
The actress has expressed hopes for a third part of the franchise
Amanda Seyfried has revealed ideas for her character’s future in Mamma Mia 3 if it ever gets made.
The actress has been open about her hopes for a third part of the hit series which follows her character Sophie and her mother Donna, played by Meryl Streep.
The Mean Girls star was asked by People what she envisions for her character to which she replied “Oh, with kids. I mean, I love being a mother.”
The themes of motherhood and mother-daughter bonding are a core concept of the movies which makes it natural for the third edition to follow suit.
Amanda expanded on her idea saying “I love playing a mother, and I would love to dive into the curiosities of motherhood and raising children on a Greek island — just like Donna did with Sophie.”
Previously, the idea od pop star Sabrina Carpenter was being tipped to play the daughter of Amanda and granddaughter of Meryl.
While there are no concrete plans for a third movie, Amanda said she will keep campaigning for it until she is “blue in the face”.
