Ariana Grande nods at Carol Burnett 1970s era in SNL teaser

Ariana Grande is set to host Saturday Night Live on December 20, her fashion sense has already captured widespread attention.

The meaning-style-adoring Side To Side hitmaker, who has the long-term stylist Law Roach, made an impact on the history of television in her SNL promotional appearance.

Grande appeared in an episode video teaser with Cher, 79, and Bowen Yang, 35, which was recently released.

The 32-years-old crooner was dressed in a criss-cross halter dress of a striking chevron in an orange, chocolate brown and mustard yellow.

This dress was a nod to the Bob Mackie dress worn by Carol Burnett on her own sketch comedy, The Carol Burnett Show in 1973.

It is also pertinent to note that the appearance is accompanied by Grande as she continues her press tour to promote Wicked: For Good, during which she and Roach have embraced theatrical and historical moments in fashion.

The singer-actress has worn several statement outfits reminiscent of Oz and vintage Hollywood when the film was being promoted.

A video of Grande also debuted on Late Night with Seth Meyers this week, in which she portrayed her Wicked character of Glinda in person again.

She also had a blush-pink bespoke dress by Paolo Sebastian, which had an oversized tulle skirt and off-the-shoulder fit, with a fine detailing.
