Travis Kelce's retirement plans get spectacular

Travis Kelce has recently been candid about the buzz surrounding his possible retirement from the NFL after his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, lost in the final match of season to the Los Angeles Chargers.

The loss ends the Chiefs' season in the playoffs and the Super Bowl, and the fans are left to wonder what the future of the 36-year-old tight end in the sport will be. Following the game, Kelce, a clearly emotional player who had earlier been reported to be in his last season, refused to talk to reporters.

Taylor’s fiancé subsequently came out of his silence on the most recent episode of his podcast, New Heights, which he hosts together with his brother, Jason Kelce.

In the interview, Travis admitted that it was a devastating loss and the game did not go our way.

The American footballer wondered what the sport was and he said, "It's just things just... when you need them the most just aren't falling to us, and, you have to get back to the drawing board, man."

Regardless of the disappointment, Kelce strongly affirmed that he will play the rest of the home games of the Chiefs, promising the fans that the team would give them whatever it had given them.

He has also stressed his and Coach Andy Reid's style of doing things on the field: There is a single way I do things. Coach Reid, Andy, has only one way of doing things.

And should we be going out and playing some football, we are going to do it right and strive to get these things fixed and see where we can leave her at the best note we can be apt to leave her.

Although he could no longer play in the Super Bowl this season, Kelce has made it easy to realise that he still loves the sport.

"At the end of the day," adding, “It's an honour to be out there. It's an honour to feel the soreness after a game because you're actually out there. You're f------ doing it."
