Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has opened up about his father’s health battle and how it impacted him.

Chris’ father was diagnosed Alzheimer’s diagnosis which impacted the actor himself who saw a change in his personality.

The actor made a documentary film discussing his dad’s battle in which the father-son duo revisit their memorable sites to relive old memories.

Chris made an appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast where he opened up about the changes he witnessed.

The Thor: Ragnarok star said he realised quickly what his priorities were in life.

The 42-year-old admitted that he started to turn down projects to spend time with his family.

“It's attention, you know, they want your presence. They want your space. They want your focus.” the actor said.

The actor, who is married to Elsa Pataky and has three kids, said he started to spend more time with family.

The Avengers star also admitted that his kids are growing up fast and there are things that money can not buy.

“I think I'll get to that, and then a year goes by, and I've done a couple of films or whatever and gone, 'Oh, wow, which part of their, you know, brief childhood have I missed?” the actor opened up.

Chris’ next project is Crime 101 alongside Monica Barbaro and Mark Ruffalo which set to release in February 2026.
