Jerry Seinfeld shared how the late American director Rob Reiner, who was found dead along with his wife, saved his show Seifeld from cancellation.
Rob Reiner along with his wife Michele were discovered with their throats slit by their daughter Romy on Sunday.
Since the news spread around, tributes haves poured in to remember the late director who created iconic hits.
Jerry, who rose to fame for his hit sitcom Seinfeld, remebered Rob revealing ow he saved his show.
On Monday, Jerry shared a photo of himself alongside Rob and Rob's father, the late Carl Reiner.
The photo was shared with a note that Rob had the “biggest influence on my career”.
“Our show would have never happened without him” the actor added.
Jerry added “He saw something no one else could. When nobody at the network liked the early episodes, he saved us from cancellation.”
The show went on to become one of the most famous sitcoms ever creating careers of Jerry, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, Jerry Stiller, Wayne Knight and more.
The comedian said Rob and Michele got married as the show was starting in 1989.
Jerry called the death of the couple “impossibly sad”.
