Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated and newly released docu-series The End of an Era noticeably snubs a muse for her eleventh studio album.
The world famous songwriter recorded and released The Tortured Poets Department, including The Anthology, the extended version of the lengthy album, during The Eras Tour, but does not give a nod to one of the people that inspired the album.
As per a reporter for the Daily Mail, who attended the New York City early screening of the first two episodes of the series wrote in their review that one certain Brit’s absence was noticeable from the debut drop.
“Her turbulent 10-year situationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, which inspired much of her album The Tortured Poets Department, which was later added to The Eras tour setlist,” they wrote referring to Taylor and her brief relationship with Matty during The Eras Tour.
The I’m In Love With You singer has evidently left a mark on the I Knew You Were Trouble singer, even attending some of her shows from the tour.
Notably, Matty’s omission from the series is likely a result of the Peter singer’s anger towards him, as can be interpreted from her songs such as The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived in which she is speculated to detail their relationship in a scathing manner.
The most unforgettable moment around the two came when they mouthed the same words “This one is about you. You know who you are. I love you,” during the performances of their songs just days apart from each other.
Taylor’s moment occurred during her Eras Tour stop in Nashville, in early May of 2023.
