Sabrina Carpenter unveils horrifying behind-the-scenes ordeal of her famous shoot
Sabrina Carpenter, fresh off her recent Short n’ Sweet Tour, revealed a major mishap while filming the music video for her hit single Manchild.
The 26-year-old pop superstar revealed on Late Night with Seth Meyers that she fell onto a cactus, leaving herself in pain.
“It’s so easy to laugh when people get hurt. And I did. But then I started crying,” Sabrina confessed, recalling the painful incident.
Thankfully, a medic was on hand as she spent the rest of the day painstakingly picking spines out of her skin.
The Please Please Please hitmaker described the shoot as one of her most ambitious yet, swapping through an astonishing 37 outfits.
“That was probably my biggest shoot I’ve ever done,” she admitted.
The video, now Grammy-nominated for Best Music Video, has clearly struck a chord with fans.
For those unfamiliar, Manchild, from her album Man’s Best Friend, is up for three more Grammys, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
The Espresso singer, who shocked fans with the album artwork showing her on all fours in front of a man pulling her hair, explained the track’s genesis on Instagram.
