Ed Sheeran has revealed he’s got “one more big tour in me”, but after that, it’s all about family life.
The 34-year-old superstar, whose hits include Shape of You, has spent years touring the globe, performing to millions of fans.
But with daughters Lyra, five, and Jupiter, three, starting school soon, Ed is rethinking life on the road.
Speaking on the Awards Chatter podcast, he opened up about balancing fame with family: “I wrote down a list the other day of things that matter to me and one is my family, one is songwriting, one is doing shows…
If I can get to a point where I’m playing shows, writing songs and hanging out with my family, then you can cut the noise out around that.”
The singer-songwriter is even considering a major move: building a venue in his hometown of Ipswich to host a residency.
“That then cuts out the travel and being away from my family.
I’ve built a studio nearby that I can use. I feel that’s the model you can adopt,” he explained.
The Perfect hitmaker's most recent trek, the Mathematics Tour, covered five continents with 188 shows, entertaining 8.8 million fans before wrapping in September.
Despite the massive success, Ed admits he’s ready for a change.
“I’ve got one more big tour in me before settling down for school years…"
It seems the world-famous performer is gearing up for a final epic tour before trading airport lounges for school runs.
