The Stranger Things cast members, namely Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin Gaten Matarazzo and Sadie Sink have earned netizens disapproval with their reaction to Sabrina Carpenter’s song.
Since the release of the first few episodes of the highly anticipated show, the stars have been popping up for various interviews promoting the series.
In a recent clip, the four participated in a ‘finish the lyric’ segment for Flight House, when they listened to Nobody’s Son by Sabrina Carpenter off of her latest album Man’s Best Friend.
The song has gone viral on TikTok, but the cast members seemed to not know it, with only Gaten saying, “Sabrina,” and then gesturing for the whip sound effect towards the end of the song, while the rest of the cast appeared clueless.
Finn then imitated the whip, repeating the lyric “He sure f***ed me up,” while Sadia appeared to be shocked at it, misquoting, “you should what?!”
The It Chapter Two actor put on a country accent while repeating the lyric asking, “Since when is Sabrina from the South?’ adding that what if the song was just more whip sounds.
Internet users did not appreciate the group’s reaction to the song, as well as Finn’s making light of it, with one writing, “they should have played a gracie abrams song sense finn wanna shade Sabrina.”
“Idk how but this feels disrespectful to me lol,” a second netzen added as a third wrote, “they pissed me off BAD.”
Stranger Things season 5 crashed the streaming platform Netflix upon its release, due to an overload of traffic.
