Katy Perry gets mobbed by Chinese fans: 'Global icon'

Katy Perry took some time off her tour to go out shopping in China only to get mobbed by overwhelming number of fans.

The 41-year-old was seen coming out of Miniso when fans identified her and started chasing her for pictures, showering love on her.

Several videos went viral which show shocked admirers racing behind Katy as she sat in a waiting vehicle nearby.

One of the X users revealed that the songstress is “very famous in China” and it is not known as a lot of apps are “blocked there.”

Another visitor of a concert called it the “best” experience they have “ever seen in China.” A third fan was astonished to see the amount of people following her, calling her “GLOBAL ICON.”

This came after the Dark Horse singer was seen honouring the Chinese by engaging in their special prayer. Fans were moved by the honours.

The two stepped out for a special date night in Paris on Katy’s milestone birthday celebration. The couple made the headlines before the hard launch.
