American TV personality Porsha Williams has breathed a sigh of relief after being cleared of any wrongdoing in a shocking Delta Airlines incident last Sunday.
The 44-year-old reality star, best known for The Real Housewives of Atlanta, was reportedly escorted off a flight at Atlanta airport by law enforcement after claims of a physical altercation with a passenger.
Williams’ lawyer, Joe Habachy, told PEOPLE that the Flatline singer was “verbally assaulted by an unhinged passenger without provocation” and insisted there was never any physical contact.
On Friday, Nov. 21, Habachy confirmed that the U.S. Attorney’s Office ruled “no crime has been committed” and the FBI will not pursue the case further.
“Sadly, nothing can undo the unfortunate and damaging press frenzy that ensued,” he said, demanding apologies from the passenger and media outlets that ran “defamatory” stories.
He also thanked witnesses who came forward to support the songstress’ account.
Notably, Bodycam footage released by Atlanta police showed witnesses backing the star, describing the other passenger’s behaviour as “completely chaotic.”
Further stating, Williams only pointed while saying, “Don’t talk to me like that.”
Despite the drama, Legs, Hips, Body hitmaker has remained upbeat.
Just days before being cleared, she attended BravoCon and later shared an Instagram post expressing gratitude to fans.
