Miss Jamaica, Gabrielle Henry, is still in hospital three days after a frightening fall during the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand.
The 28-year-old beauty queen stumbled while walking in a sparkling orange gown and high heels on November 19, tumbling completely off the stage.
Gabrielle’s family is by her side as her sister, Dr Phylicia Henry-Samuels, and their mother, Maureen Henry, are supporting her.
“Gabby isn’t doing as well as we would have hoped, but the hospital continues to treat her accordingly,” her sister said.
Doctors have decided Gabrielle will stay in the intensive care unit for at least seven days while they monitor her closely and provide specialised care.
The Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation asked fans to keep Gabrielle in their prayers and to send her “love, strength, and hope.”
They also urged everyone to avoid speculation or negative comments that might distress the family further.
For those unfamiliar, after the fall, she was rushed to Paolo Rangsit Hospital.
Pageant owner Raul Rocha reassured fans that she had “no broken bones” and was receiving excellent care.
