Miss Universe 2025 was rocked by drama on Wednesday when Miss Jamaica, Gabrielle Henry, suffered a terrifying fall during the preliminary evening gown round.
Social media footage shows Henry in a stunning orange dress and sky-high heels gracefully walking across the stage, before she misses a step and tumbles off, leaving fans and fellow contestants in shock.
On the same day, she was absent from the competition, prompting concern.
Reportedly, a Miss Universe spokesperson declined to comment on her condition.
The Miss Universe Jamaica Organisation later confirmed that Henry had been rushed to Paolo Rangsit Hospital in Thailand.
“Medical professionals are attending to her care and have advised that she is not suffering from any life-threatening injuries; however, they continue to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery,” the statement said.
Notably, the incident comes amid ongoing controversy at this year’s pageant.
On Tuesday, judge Omar Harfouch quit, claiming the Miss Universe Organisation had formed an “impromptu jury” to pick 30 finalists before the preliminary rounds even began.
Two more judges, including football legend Claude Makélélé and Princess Camilla di Borbone delle Due Sicilie, have since stepped down, adding to the chaos.
The winner of Miss Universe 2025 was Fátima Bosch from Mexico.
She was crowned at the 74th edition of the pageant, which took place in Bangkok, Thailand.
