Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly intervened behind the scenes after their appearance at Kris Jenner’s star-studded birthday party caused uproar, especially as the Royal Family were observing Remembrance commemorations back in the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were among the VIP guests at Kris Jenner’s lavish West Hollywood 70th birthday celebration, held at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills estate.
The couple were photographed arriving at the event, but the controversy escalated when Kris and Kim Kardashian posted images of Harry and Meghan looking relaxed and cheerful inside the party.
The photos quickly disappeared from the Kardashian social media feeds, sparking questions about why they had been pulled.
Now, a source claimed to Page Six, that the removal came at the request of Harry and Meghan’s own team, who were determined to prevent any fallout with the Royal Family.
The party appearances had already faced criticism given the contrasting tone of Remembrance weekend, and insiders say palace aides were unimpressed by the timing.
According to reports, senior royal figures viewed the Sussexes’ Hollywood outings as overly glossy and poorly timed: “These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy.”
Another insider backed up the claim: "They were polite but firm - nothing goes online without their sign-off. They’ve built their brand on control, and they weren’t about to let a Kardashian post ruin that.”
