Dakota Fanning sets the record straight on her approach to working with young actors, having entered Hollywood as a child star herself.

On November 3, at the premiere of her new Peacock series, All Her Fault, Chatting admitted she treats child actors like her other co-stars, while speaking to PEOPLE in New York City.

"I sort of just treat them how I would treat any other actor,” Dakota explained. “I think that's what I appreciated when I was younger, so I just kind of go with that.”

Dakota Fanning made her big-screen debut at just seven years old in 2001’s I Am Sam, sharing the screen with Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Before even turning 12, she had already worked alongside Hollywood legends including Denzel Washington, Tom Cruise, and Brittany Murphy.

Now, the actress continues to keep a packed schedule. She and her sister, Elle Fanning, are developing a new project inspired by Paris Hilton’s 2023 memoir.

Dakota’s latest role is in All Her Fault, a gripping thriller centred on a child abduction. The series features Succession star Sarah Snook in the lead, with Jake Lacy, Abby Elliott, Sophia Lillis, and Michael Peña rounding out the cast.
