Katy Perry, best known for her hit song Roar, recently released new music, and fans are going feral.
The 41-year-old American artist dropped her latest single, Bandaids, on all major streaming platforms on Thursday, November 6.
This release comes just months after the pop star ended her nearly nine-year relationship with actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025.
Fans went into a frenzy as soon as they heard the track and began decoding the song’s music video, which premiered on YouTube.
The admirers believe that the chart-topping singer opened up about her struggles and revealed the reasons behind her split from Pirates of the Caribbean actor, while also sharing what helped her through the difficult time.
Critics praised the song, taking to the comment section to express how deeply it moved them.
One fan wrote, “It’s so sweet that she sees her daughter as her hope and love through heartbreak.”
Another added, “THIS IS THE KATY PERRY WE HAVE WAITED FOR.”
The music video portrays a series of hardships that Katy faces one after another.
Just as she’s about to give up, she notices a flower, a daisy, the same name as her daughter, and finds the strength to keep going.
Although the 5-year-old is still too young to fully understand it, the song reflects how the songstress lives and finds hope through her love for her little one.
It’s worth noting that the former couple share joint custody of their only child, Daisy Dove, who was born in 2020.
