Jennifer Lawrence’s opinion on politics is a very subdued image of an already troubling political landscape, and her views on Donald Trump have also changed from years prior.
The Hunger Games actress is known for her outspoken persona, and would clarify which party and people she stood for in the past.
It seems that the Academy Award winner is no longer aligned with her past self and also downplayed the influence of celebrities in The Interview podcast, where she was asked how she feels speaking out about Trump’s second term after being vehemently opposed to his first one.
“I don’t really know if I should, the first Trump administration was so wild, and just how can we let this stand? I felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off,” Jennifer stated.
She continued, “but as we’ve learned election after election, celebrities do not make a difference whatsoever on who people vote for, so then what am I doing? I’m just sharing my opinion on something that’s going to add fuel to a fire that’s ripping the country apart. We are so divided.”
The Passengers star emphasised that she wanted to focus on her art and films so that people had an escape likely from the distressing political happenings.
Notably, Jennifer has also condemned the terrible happenings in the Middle East, hinting that she was disappointed in the lack of accountability by her own country which reflects her overall gloomy views on politics in the current age overall.
Jennifer’s most iconic role is the character of Katniss Everdeen on The Hunger Games franchise.
